Meet our experienced and friendly staff

Graeme

CEO/ PT Instructor
Having been a firefighter in Melbourne for more than 33 years, playing a part in creating and running Seahaven has given me the opportunity to continue serving the community and helping those in need.

During my time with the Fire Brigade, I was a fitness instructor and provided exercise and dietary advice to my colleges. My hobbies include classic cars and motorbikes, live music, keeping fit and spending time with my lovely wife and our two dogs.

I love all animals, and some think I am a little odd when they learn that spiders and snakes are amongst my favourites.

Peter

AOD Psychologist
I have extensive experience as a registered psychologist and have worked as a clinician in a variety of settings in both the public and private mental health sectors and drug & alcohol field.

I have experience supporting people with a range of challenges associated with addiction, such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, grief & loss and relationship issues.

As a psychologist, I try to help my clients uncover the story of who they are and begin the process of making more helpful and life-affirming choices for themselves. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and love watching the mighty Bombers during the footy season.

Mish

Program Manager
I’ve been working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation for years now, and I am very passionate about the work. I’ve worked in outpatient and residential facilities in California and across Victoria.

I really enjoy seeing people find hope and turn their lives around. I originally started working in the drug and alcohol field after some of my close friends lost everything to addiction, including one of their lives. I made a decision to pursue this career and start being part of the solution.

I love reading, spending time in the pool and hanging out with my friends and family.

Jodie

Program Coordinator
I started with Seahaven in 2021 as the cook, and have since moved into the office manager role.

Since starting with Seahaven, I have found working with our clients and helping them achieve their goals, to be so rewarding that I have started my cert IV in AOD.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my mini me and my two dogs.

Gemma

AOD Facilitator
I have battled addiction in my past and have overcome so many hurdles, which has made me come to be sure of my path in life, which is to help others through similar struggles.

I’m all about no judgement and building people up as I love to empower people. It’s so humbling to know that this is truly my calling. I work in a centre based approach to help bring out the happy, healthier you that you’ve been missing or may not have even known yet.

Some of my hobbies are music, dancing,
swimming and basketball, which I also coach.

Michelle

I believe that addiction can be treated, and I’m extremely passionate and motivated to help clients build a strong foundation for recovery, sharing my own knowledge, experience, strength and hope!experience, strength and hope!

Enya

AOD Support
I am a non-judgmental professional with mental health and AOD lived experience who has been in recovery for over six years now.

I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds gained through paid and volunteer involvement with charities, not-for-profits, and support groups. This experience includes facilitating meetings and workshops, and guiding individuals through a program of recovery.

I believe people who experience addiction challenges are not bad people, but instead people who suffer from a disease of the mind and body.
