I was unsure what to expect after I made the decision to commit to Seahaven’s 28 day detox/rehabilitation program. I walked in broken and defeated with much trepidation, wondering if this could be the answer to a long-term alcohol disorder.
Walking out 28 days later, I now feel optimistic and positive about my future, having been provided with a solid foundation of how to live a healthy, productive and meaningful life.

My physical, mental and emotional health has improved significantly due to the program’s holistic approach t The focus on education, psychology, nutrition, exercise, connection and structure has provided me with the tools I need to stay sober and regain my sense of self-worth.

The wonderful staff take an empathetic, caring and reassuring approach, while being highly knowledgeable about the disease that is addiction. Everyone from the Chef to the Program’s director sincerely want each resident to reach their goal of abstinence and live the best life they can. The aftercare program, available to former residents on a lifelong basis, provides further evidence of this ongoing guidance and care.

I would recommend Seahaven to anyone with an addiction who is looking to turn their life around. I consider it the best investment of money and time I’ve ever made. I realise I’m still in the early days of my recovery but the connection I’ve made with residents and staff will be invaluable moving forward.
